ARMCO Claims No. 1 Spot With Win Over FIS Global
MANILA, Philippines – ARMCO was able to take over the early proceedings of the recreational plus division’s elimination round by defeating FIS Global, 86-78, on Sunday, May 29 at the EJG Lucky Gym in Parañaque City.
Lorenzo Jacob spearheaded ARMCO’s campaign to claim a 3-1 record in the tourney by flirting a double-double effort of 29 points and 9 rebounds to come along with one assist, 3 steals and 3 blocks.
Jacob received a helping hand from Lester Pacete and Ernisto Totaan, who came off the bench for ARMCO.
Pacete scorched the basket 17 markers and collected 4 boards, 9 dimes and 3 steals, while Totaan delivered a 10-point production to go with 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
Despite bowing down to ARMCO, FIS Global did not go down without a fight as team rallied behind the monstrous performance of Raymond Solano, who hauled 30 points.
Sonny Joseph Twano added 19 as FIS Global further dropped in the team standings with a lackluster 0-2 win-loss slate.
