Goto Pilipinas, PMT Clothing, Enforcers and Black Label have completed the semifinals cast of the Next5 Hoops Metro Manila North Leg – Intermediate Division.
After an 88-79 nipping of Mage last March 25, Enforcers will face PMT Clothing in the knockout semis.
Enforces lit up from beyond the arch with 12 triples to subdue Mage, which had a sheer advantage inside the paint.
Rey Gonzales led Enforcers with 13 points while Nikko Sintin added 12, which all came from the three-point area.
Though Mage ended the game strong, it wasn’t enough to pull them out of their poor start.
PMT Clothing, meanwhile, dominated Autogard, 92-73, to advance.
Knocking down 13 triples, PMT Clothing pulled away despite Autogard’s 52-36 advantage downlow.
Nino Remoro paced PMT Clothing with 16 points, Lester Ramos added 15 while JV Magtalas finished with 12 after knocking down for triples.
Two others finished in double-digit points for PMT Clothing, which blew the game wide open with a 27-14 second quarter assault.
In the other match-up, Goto Pilipinas forged a semis meeting with Black Label after an 85-72 thumping of LSBC.
Goto Pilipinas pulled away in the second period as it pounced on the error-prone foes and got 35 points out of the turnovers.
Mark Mercado had 17 points and 11 boards to lead Goto Pilipinas, which also dominated the paint, 58-48.
RH Roman carried the bulk of the scoring load for LSBC with 24 points but turned the ball over nine times.
